We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal, or Trainee Solicitor with Family Law experience, coming to the end of their contract and looking to qualify into Family Law.

The Team
- Working with the highly experienced and Resolution accredited Partner in charge, Rhona Royle, to develop confidence & experience in a broad caseload of family cases (no care or legal aid).
- Rhona’s caseload is intentionally biased towards Financial Remedy work so as well as assisting her with her work there is a great opportunity to develop your own (slight) bias towards private law children work.
- Assists individuals in all aspects of financial and children related disputes arising on separation/divorce; pre and post nuptial and living together agreements.
The Work
Including but not limited to;
- Preparing paper and electronic court bundles.
- Using the MyHMCTS Court Portal
- Creating applications; Forms A/C100/D11.
- Drafting documents (Form E, ES1 and 2, Questionnaires/Forms G and H/witness statements/bundle index/briefs and instructions to Counsel)
- Taking detailed attendance notes (client and at court).
- Seeing clients and corresponding with them.
- Preparing blogs.
- Subject to experience and under supervision running a small caseload.
The Role
- Although this is a Full-time appointment part time work would be considered (a minimum 3 days a week).
Essentials
- Minimum 12 months of experience in family work.
- Good academic background (2:1 Degree)
- Excellent client care skills.
- A confident and professional manner, having discretion and tact.
- Be self- motivated and able to use your own initiative but also know when to seek guidance.
- Have excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
- Have good time management, IT and administrative skills.
Desirable
- 2 years’ experience of working as a family law paralegal.
- A Law Degree (2;1)
- Applications from those based in/with contacts in the Oldham/Saddleworth/Calder Valley/Manchester areas particularly welcome.
Salary- market rate (based on level of experience) plus performance related bonus plus referral rewards.
Proposed start date May 2026.
