Debt Recovery

Unpaid debts lead to:

  • Frozen capital and cash flow problems.
  • Extra time wasted in trying to recover payment.
  • Debts written off, creating losses which need further sales to offset them.
  • Discounts available from suppliers for prompt payment become unavailable.
  • Banks not recognising long term debts as collateral.

Our efficient computerised debt collection service, staffed by qualified solicitors, is a cost effective way to quickly improve your cash flow:

  • Free initial telephone advice.
  • Claim letter service.
  • Economic recovery of any size of debts.
  • Up to date information available.
  • Court proceedings issues and judgments enforced.
  • Interest claimed.
  • Majority of costs recovered from the debtor if the case is successful.
  • Enquiry agents instructed to chase a debtor.

We only charge £50 + VAT plus disbursements (e.g. court fee)

On winning all or part of the debt, our fees are:

Amount Recovered Fee
£0 - £1000 20 % debt recovered inclusive of VAT.
£1001 up to £5000 15% of debt recovered inclusive of VAT.
Over £5000 10 % of debt recovered inclusive of VAT.

If the recovery of the debt hasn't been resolved following judgement, the County Court bailiff or High Court sheriff can be instructed to enforce the judgement by attending upon the debtor with the power to seize goods; the court can question the debtor to ascertain his assets, or an attachment can be made on the debtor's salary.

Alternatively the debt could be attached to a property owned by the debtor by charging order to protect the judgment or the debtor could be made bankrupt. (Charging orders and Bankruptcy proceedings attract a separate fee in addition to our standard fees).
